Southwest strongman pulls TWO rigs!

Saturday the 18th April was a nervous day.

Southwest Strongman John Baggot had previously pulled one articulated tanker, but never TWO.

Although empty, this was a different challenge altogether, with the combination of two 15 meter articulated tanker rigs, joined together by chains the challenge certainly stepped up a gear!

The biggest challenge of the day however, was finding aperfectly level area on the venue site of Plymouth Hoe. This proved difficultas, too much of a gradeint in either direction meant that it would be seriously hindering him, or he may getflattened bytwo 50 foot rigs!!

By about 13:00, a suitable spot was found and the work began. . .

After a lot of grunt and sweat, all 28 wheels started to slowly but surely move. . .

It was an impressive sight for all, including approximately 100 members of public that had gathered to watch this spectacular event over the morning.

The next and biggest challenge of them all will now be on the actual WORLD RECORD attempt on 12th July 2009at Plymouth Hoe, where John will attempt to pull a staggering 60 tonnes!

We are proud to be supplying the rigs for John and supporting his cause and wish him the best of luck for his WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT!
