Rates of pay: Mon-Fri £9.00 p/h, Sat £10.30 p/h, Sun £15.45 p/h

We are looking for a Class 1 LGV Driver in Portsmouth to collect liquid waste from customer sites and remove to disposal sites. Duties include connecting and operating pumping pipework and machinery to collect waste into tanker, which may include climbing into confined spaces whilst ensuring safe operation without spillage.

Full Time, 45 hours per week, generally Monday to Friday but evening and weekend working will be required, for which enhanced rates are paid.

General:

To carry out jetting and cleaning operations including confined space operations using FlexLine HGV jetvac vehicle.

Main Duties:

• To carry out driving duties and daily defect checks on HGV vehicle in line with VOSA regulations.
• Carry out jetting and cleaning operations to a high standard in accordance with training and Bale Group Ltd H&S procedures.
• Ensure customers are treated with courtesy at all times.
• Ensure client is informed at all times regarding task and H&S issues.
• To work under own initiative and without supervision.
• Maintain good timekeeping.
• Flexible working including out of hours call outs. 
• Work records, timesheets, and all relevant documentation to be completed weekly and returned to head office by no later than 12.00 hours the following Tuesday.
• Comply with Health & Safety requirements, actively seek to improve safety culture and report any H&S issues/accidents/near misses to your line manager immediately.
• Any other duties as required by line manager, commensurate with the post holder’s level of training and competence.
